Mat Cats

The Mat Cats work with the Wrestling Team. At home matches, they are responsible for selling tickets, selling concessions, running the clock, and keeping the scorebook. At away matches, they are responsible for keeping the scorebook. We are also there to support the wrestlers and assist the coaches in whatever way possible. In order to be a member of the Mat Cats, girls must meet the No Pass/No Play requirements, have no major disciplinary referrals, and be able to attend all home wrestling matches. They must attend meetings, and they must attend training sessions to learn how to operate the clock and how to keep score. The Mat Cats do not collect dues; however, girls are responsible for purchasing a Mat Cat shirt and sweatshirt and for fully participating in all Wrestling and Mat Cat fundraisers. The Mat Cats select new members during the first term of each school year.
