Family, Career and Community Leaders of America

The mission of FCCLA is to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer science education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through—character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, and practical knowledge and vocational; preparation. Any student who has taken a course or is enrolled in a Family and Consumer Science class is eligible for active membership in FCCLA. The club has monthly meetings, attend the state Junior Leadership Development Conference, sponsor several service project each year and conduct fundraisers. Members attend the annual state meeting and must pay annual dues for national, state and local fees.
